Surely you are watching from above this past month and noticing that you are with me in many moments, in many personal choices that I make.

Your character that I knew and came to know also from others’ stories after your death, gave me a few more points that I took for myself from your personality. About the commander you were to your subordinates, about your attentiveness to your surroundings, that sacrifice of yours that cost you eternal time.

You will not be forgotten from my memory.

I thank you for choosing to serve in the Negev Division. You left a positive and important mark, and I am sure that your commemoration in the future will still give many people the opportunity to know you and learn from you.

If I was undecided until today whether to continue in military service, know that you are the one who helped me make the decision. I looked at your subordinates and understood how much a commander influences and assists his subordinates, how much a commander is given the privilege to educate people, and for me, I chose to stay to serve in another position, hoping that I can influence and educate as you succeeded.

Your death is sacred in my eyes. I admire you for the way you dealt with the terrorist while you were groaning from the pain of the stabbing.
