Our brother Almog,

We are sitting here, your friends from school. Trying but unable to digest that you are not sitting with us. We didn’t get to have a class reunion, and here we are all sitting with Sahar, your brother, who is exactly like you. Sitting and bringing up memories.

Sahar keeps telling us “Let’s try to bring up some bad memory of Almog” but we are unable to and each one tells of another good memory we have of him.

One says that Almog would talk to him, encourage him without anyone knowing. Even when we would break his glasses during “Chayei Sarah” he would never get angry and would come back every week with new glasses.

Almog, after school it’s natural that everyone goes their own way and builds their lives in their own way. For a long time we didn’t see you and unfortunately we all met you on your final journey. There, people who knew you during the time we were not fortunate to continue knowing you spoke, and they told many good things about you: how you would help people, and we stood there and said to each other that this always characterized you. Helping others.

Almog – each of us personally remembers the constant smile on your face.

Almog – we remember that in all the games we played in school, football or basketball, you would fight and always the team you were on would win. Even now – after you were attacked, you fought for your life, but then you understood that your place is in heaven with the righteous, and so this was the first time you gave up and understood something that we do not understand: that this world is not good enough for you.
