The ninth grade of Ironi H. opened a cafe on Friday (as part of the Learning Communities Morning) to raise donations for the Home for Lone Soldiers named after the late IDF soldier Almog Shiloni.
Yossi Shiloni, Almog’s father, met the students and told them about the life and heroic act of his son Almog. Ironi H.’s parents prepared and the students sold and indulged in delicious homemade cakes for Shabbat, various foods and soft drinks. A respectable sum of 3,000 NIS was collected as a donation and we thank all of you from all the ❤️ students, parents and teacher Or – the ninth grade coordinator at the school.
We had a special and moving visit to the Almog Shiloni Home: Our lone soldier Moshe completed a course in the Golani and in honor of the completion of the course and the end of the beret journey, his family came from abroad to salute him.
The family met Yossi and Michal Shiloni, Almog Shiloni’s parents, as well as Daniela Hellerstein, a member and volunteer at the association. The family heard the story of Almog’s heroism as well as about the work and vision of the permanent home. We were happy to meet, get to know and host you with us and are always waiting for you here ❤️
In the past months, our soldiers have also made significant progress in the army. They experience extraordinary experiences, participate in significant events in the IDF, and make us all especially proud.
Students at Ramat Modi’in School in the Hashmonaim community prepared packages for soldiers in honor of IDF Soldiers’ Appreciation Day – students in grades 3-4 collected and brought the products, and girls in grade 6 packaged them together.
A moment of pride for us ❤️ Our soldier S., who lives in Beit Almog Shilnoy in Modi’in, completed her beret and training journey 🏆💐 S. immigrated from Panama and enlisted in the army to serve as a fighter. To our delight, she fulfilled her mission with pride and success!
On Hanukkah, Gili Zaid and Amir Ifrah, managers of the “Waffle Bar” in the Euroshops center in Buchman, invited the family of Sergeant Almog Shiloni, who was murdered in a terrorist attack 4 years ago, and the lone soldiers, who live in the “Almog Shiloni House” in Modi’in, to a joint candle lighting ceremony.
At the Masuot Neria School in Modi’in, they decided to teach the science subject, including the topic of space, in an original way. At the initiative of Michal Shiloni, the mother of the late Almog, the 4th and 5th grade students joined the soldiers of Beit Almog Shiloni and together built a rocket that was launched in the school yard.
