Eulogy by Lieutenant Colonel A., Commander of the Aviation Squadron at Nevatim Base
Almog, you chose a difficult path, you chose to enlist and serve as a combat soldier in the IDF, to be part of the contribution to defending the home and the people living in it, out of a sense of mission and commitment to the country. Almog, you are an outstanding soldier, a leader, beloved and respected by your commanders, your friends, and your soldiers. You always acted out of faith, and even when it was difficult, you knew how to cope and serve as a personal example for your soldiers and friends… with an internal engine pushing you strongly forward… There were thoughts that maybe you would go to an officer’s course, but you planned to build a home with your beloved Noy. Almog, you are a fighter, a commander, and first and foremost – a human being. A person with a good and broad heart, who does not say ‘no’… As a commander, you always made sure to personally take care of your soldiers, down to the last detail, you invited them for holiday meals and Sabbaths at your beloved family’s home, and all this with the modesty and quietness that so characterize you.
