Eulogy by Sergeant Moshe Omer, Almog’s team member, on behalf of the “Defenders of the Negev” Platoon family, Team 1

Your good deeds, to which we were witnesses, the care for your friends and your soldiers, the devoted care you gave as if they were your own children, the difficulties and experiences we went through together, which are actually part of you, but also part of us – we will never forget them! We will never forget the smiles you would distribute freely and with endless love, your face… eyes so good, full of love and giving, and a rare smile… In difficult moments, in basic training, in exercises… you were there for us, strengthening and encouraging with your smile and your constant phrase ‘It’s all in the head, soul’… In four more months we were supposed to celebrate our discharge day together, and a few months later also your wedding with Noy, your heart’s choice. How you constantly talked with us about it, planned, thought, got excited… From today, our sense of pride in walking with these uniforms will only increase! We were privileged to meet and fall in love with an amazing person, a good man by any measure and a mighty warrior in body and soul… Until his last moment he fought! For us he fought!
